Kai has been the Managing Director of Taaleri Energia since 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in the infrastructure industry.

Before joining Taaleri Energia, he worked for 10 years at KPMG, in Helsinki and London, advising public and private sector clients on infrastructure strategy and transactions across energy, transport and social infrastructure. Kai built and led KPMG’s infrastructure business at KPMG Finland with clients ranging from utilities and infrastructure funds to state ministries and construction companies. He has executed 900 MW of wind transactions as well as transactions in hydro power, electricity distribution and de-centralised heat services. 

Kai holds a PhD in Construction Economics from UCL and an MSc in Engineering and Industrial Management from the Tampere University of Technology.

Stephen has been an Investment Director at Taaleri Energia since 2019. With more than 25 years of professional experience, Stephen has been based in Budapest for the past 15 years. While working for KPMG’s Global Centre of Excellence for Power and Utilities, Stephen led the corporate finance team, which was responsible for raising debt and equity for energy projects across Central and Eastern Europe. In 2013, Stephen established his own boutique advisory firm, through which he has advised clients on more than 500 MW of wind and solar M&A transactions.

Petri is an Investment Director at Taaleri Energia. Before joining Taaleri Energia, he worked at Finnfund, a state-owned investment company, leading and managing the structuring and deployment of equity, mezzanine and debt investments. He has worked with both Finnish and international companies in solar, wind, hydro, recycling and biofuel sectors across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Petri has been a Member of the Board and a Member of the Advisory Committee in a number of companies and investment funds respectively. Aleksi started as Director of Power Markets in 2022 and has a strong energy market experience.

Before joining Taaleri Energia he worked at Fortum group, the largest utility in Finland, for over 20 years in several positions, focusing on starting new businesses within the energy sector. He has re-introduced the b2b electricity retail business, which became a solid profit contributor. He established the Origination business to Fortum to support the Generation Division strategy. Aleksi has also worked at Ilmatar Energy, where he created a growth strategy for the company´s electricity retail business. He also has experience in the areas of trading, hedging, commodity procurement, and risk management.

Erkki has been the Head of Operations at Taaleri Energia since 2015. He has extensive experience in the wind and other large scale investment related industries. Erkki has an excellent understanding of the wind business, where he has been working since 2001.  From 2009 to 2016 Erkki was establishing the wind power business at Metsähallitus, a state owned wind power developer and major Finnish land owner. From 2001 to 2009 Erkki was responsible for establishing the sales activities of WinWinD, a wind turbine supplier. Erkki has contracted over 300 MW of wind power in Finland, Estonia, Sweden, France and Portugal.

Taamir is the Head of Development at Taaleri Energia. Taamir started the wind energy business at Taaleri in 2010 and has led the greenfield development of more than 20 wind farms with over 130 turbines. Taamir has over 12 years of experience investing in renewable energy, mainly into wind and biogas investments. Taamir’s experience covers the entire lifecycle of wind farms. He is highly experienced in project optimisation utilising both financial and technical solutions.

Pauli has been a development manager at Taaleri Energia since 2012. He has been working in the energy sector for over 15 years and before joining Taaleri, he worked in a mid-sized utility company as a technical and project manager gaining a wide experience of different aspects of energy projects. Pauli has successfully developed nine wind projects in Finland and acted as a project manager for over 300 MW of wind power. He has also been working with solar, thermal and condensing power projects. His key expertise is within the pre-construction and construction project phases.

Harri started as Senior Development Manager at Taaleri Energia in 2022. He has eight years of working experience within the energy sector. He has extensive experience in international project development, as well as investment in power generation and has contributed to numerous projects across Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Before joining Taaleri, Harri worked for over 6 years at Wärtsilä Corporation, focusing mainly on project origination, managing project development activities, as well as commercial and financial structuring of power generation projects. Prior to that, he worked for two years at Ilmatar, a Finnish renewable energy company. Harri has worked on projects based on several different technologies including wind, solar, reciprocating engines & battery storage and his experience covers project phases from early development to financial closing.

Harri holds a MSc degree in Finance from Aalto University School of Business.

Chris has been Taaleri Energia’s leading solar power technical expert since 2017. He joined Taaleri after 12 years at the global leader in industrial technology, ABB. He has in-depth experience from various technical and commercial roles in both wind and solar power. Chris is proficient with all the components used in solar power plant design and their integration. Globally, he has optimised over 200 solar power plant configurations to achieve the highest ROI. Chris’ skills are utilised during the whole solar project process, from analysing the solar resource and the design phase to ensuring continuous efficient operation of the plant.

Chris holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Victoria, Canada.

Fran has been the General Manager of Taaleri Energia Iberia since 2020 and is leading Taaleri Energia’s Solar PV businesses in the Iberian Peninsula. Fran has over 15 years of experience in the solar energy industry. Over those years Fran has gained significant international expertise in the development, design and construction of large scale PV projects through more than 40 projects delivered in more than 10 countries. Before joining Taaleri Energia, he worked for Elecnor, an international renewable energy engineering and construction company, where he had several international positions. 

Fran holds an Electrical Engineer Degree from the University of Oviedo (Spain), a PDD at the IESE Business School (Spain) and a Specialization Program in M&A and Private Equity at IEB Business School (Spain).

He has also worked over a decade in the UK, lastly with Citigroup as Director and Vice President leading the Paper, Packaging and Steel businesses in EMEA where the business focused on M&A, debt and equity financing.

Sami joined Taaleri Energia as a Production Engineer in February 2017. He has been working with renewable energy business for six years. Before Taaleri he has been working on wind turbine service and wind turbine installation projects with Empower PN. His main role has been as a Site Engineer and he has also carried out customer inspections of the turbines. Sami has also worked in the wind turbine service business with Siemens as a technician. His has experience of servicing mainly Siemens, Hyundai and Gamesa wind turbines. He has also experience of the solar industry from his employment at Vacon as a software application engineer of solar inverters.

Tuomas has been an Electrical Operations Manager for Taaleri Energia since 2018. Prior to joining the company, he held multiple positions in Elenia Oy which is the second largest electrical distribution system operator in Finland. Tuomas worked in Elenia as operation planner, operations engineer and process coordinator for fault repair. Tuomas holds the highest electrical qualification available (S1) and is responsible for all electrical equipment in Taaleri’s operations. He also supports constructions projects in electrical construction and planning.

Mika started as a Senior EPC Manager at Taaleri Energia in 2024. He has been working in the wind energy sector for over 15 years.

Before joining Taaleri, he worked 11 years in consulting company Ramboll offering consulting services on various phases during the life span of wind farm for investors and wind farm owners. Services included wide range of responsibilities e.g. Owner's Engineer services during development, construction and operation phases of wind farm projects, Technical Advisor, Asset Management, TDD and project development. He was acting as a Senior Project Manager in several wind farm OE projects in construction phase. In addition, he has worked for wind turbine manufacturer WinWinD Oy as a Technical Specialist including for example research and development of wind turbine technology. As a result, he has gained wide range experience in wind energy sector and comprehensive understanding of wind farm projects.

Sanna started as a Production Engineer at Taaleri Energia in 2022 and is working with technical asset management tasks.

Sanna graduated as an Energy Technology Engineer in 2019, from Oulu University of Applied Sciences. During her studies she worked as a Control Center Engineer, monitoring wind parks and substations at WiCo (Wind Controller). Before joining Taaleri, she worked as a project planning officer and later as a project manager at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, in an international renewable energy project (SMARTrenew-project, Interreg NPA funded, led by Letterkenny Institute of Technology). These experiences have provided her insight into EU funding systems, project management, renewable and smart energy solutions, development needs in rural and arctic areas, as well as renewable energy technology development in Europe.

Jenny-Li is a Legal Director at Taaleri Energia. She has worked as a lawyer at Taaleri since 2014, acting as the risk management lead as well as project manager for the establishment of a number of private equity funds. Jenny-Li has extensive experience in the Finnish wind power industry, ranging from permitting and financing, corporate governance, structuring and transactions. She is currently Vice Chairperson of the Board of Renewables Finland, where she has actively been promoting sound wind industry regulation and practices since 2013.
